This course discusses the pathology and treatment of menopausal problems in detail. Participants will learn the role of Tian Gui in women’s life cycles and in the aetiology of menopausal problems. The role of the Kidneys in the pathology of menopausal problems is dealt with in depth.

The patterns of disharmony causing menopausal problems will be presented with the treatment with acupuncture and herbs. The role of Chinese medicine compared to oestrogen replacement therapy is discussed, together with the role of phytoestrogens in the menopause.

This course consists of a nearly 3 hour lecture with video narration, text, diagrams and photos. The treatment discussed includes herbal medicine and acupuncture.

Courses are registered to provide CEUs from the California, Florida and Texas State Acupuncture Boards and NCCAOM. The courses are also approved by the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS), New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists (AcNZ) and New Zealand Acupuncture Standards Authority (NZASA) for the purpose of CPD Category 2.
