This course presents the diagnosis and treatment of digestive problems with both acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Topics will include the diagnostic differentiation between distension, fullness and oppression.
The role of the Chong Mai in digestive symptoms will be discussed in detail. The main patterns of epigastric and abdominal pain are listed with clinical manifestations and treatment with acupuncture and herbs. The pathology of irritable bowel syndrome will be discussed and the clinical manifestations of digestive problems will be illustrated by many tongue pictures.
This course consists of a nearly 3 hour lecture with video narration, text, diagrams and photos. The treatment discussed includes herbal medicine and acupuncture.
Courses are registered to provide CEUs from the California, Florida and Texas State Acupuncture Boards and NCCAOM. The courses are also approved by the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS), New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists (AcNZ) and New Zealand Acupuncture Standards Authority (NZASA) for the purpose of CPD Category 2.
