This comprehensive course on the treatment of children with Chinese medicine will discuss the physiology and characteristics of children first. This is essential to understand the characteristics of children’s aetiology and pathology which set them apart from adults. Children’s constitutional types are described in order to enable practitioners to adapt their understanding and treatment strategy for children according to their age.
The section on diagnosis is illustrated by tongue photos. The discussion of Common Cold and Influenza includes a detailed analysis of the theory of the Four Levels in children’s infectious diseases; it also discusses in detail the nature and treatment of Wen Bing diseases. The treatment of each disease discusses both acupuncture and herbal medicine.
